Start & Grow is the new business start-up initiative launched across the country with the aim of supporting budding entrepreneurs with ambitions for sustainable growth and job creation.
The Start & Grow programme offers access to support that includes: one to one advice, business skills training, mentoring, access to finance support and business planning, giving the participants the chance to develop their ideas and start their businesses with the best possible chance of success.
The programme specificallypeople who haven’t yet launched their business but are looking to achieve high growth and create employment opportunities from an early stage.
Supported by the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), Start & Grow will be delivered across England by the Cavendish Consortium in areas where there are lower levels of business start-up. The Consortium, made up of six regional enterprise agencies, together with National Enterprise Network, has already helped to create over 10,000 jobs nationwide and is well respected for its independent and impartial advice and achieving excellence in business enterprise.
Kevin Horne, Chairman, Cavendish Consortium says: “The enterprise support organisations and partners involved in the delivery of the previous Ready for Business programme have vast experience and success in supporting pre start-ups with business advisory and training services – in many cases built up over 30 years. It is fantastic that we will now be able to support more start-ups through this new RGF funded programme, using our proven expertise to offer a unique and dedicated support package to new businesses.”
Carole White, CEO of TEDCO Business Support comments: “The Start & Grow programme will enable us to provide real help and support for local people who have a great business idea but need practical guidance to take them through from pre start to trading. This one on one support can be tailored specifically to each client so we make sure they get the best start and the support they need to be a successful and sustainable business.”
The Regional Growth Fund has invested nearly £2.85 billion to help businesses in England to grow; so far generating 130,000 jobs.
