Take a course into business…
You can learn all about running a business on our range of free “getting started” courses. Our courses vary from 3 hours to 5 days (spread over 2 weeks) and our experienced trainers will work with you in friendly, informal surroundings and in small groups. Course times are flexible and our daytime sessions are within school hours.
They will make sure that you get a taste of all of the most important subjects that you will need to run your business. The subjects covered include:
- Skills and attitude for self employment
- Marketing
- Market Research
- Business Finance
- Business Plan Preparation
- Book-keeping
- Legal Requirements
You can take away everything that you have learned as handouts to act as reminders and our Advisers are always willing to listen and help if you have other questions as your business gets off the ground. This is also an excellent way to meet other people and build contacts. Many of our participants keep in touch with each other afterwards which is a great way to share experiences as you begin your journey into business.
