Centre Manager Appointed

TEDCO, the management company behind the innovative new business centre in the heart of Berwick, ‘Berwick WorkSpace’ has this week announced the appointment of a centre manager, Andrew Martin. The joint venture between Northumberland County Council and Berwick upon Tweed Borough Council is an initiative offering businesses in the Berwick area the opportunity to experience State-of-the-Art facilities whilst developing their own individual companies.

In his new role Andrew’s key responsibilities will be to manage ‘Berwick WorkSpace’ and provide support and advice for new businesses in any one of the offices available.

For the last 20 years Andrew has worked for a national retail group and for the last 13 years in Berwick as a Retail Manager and North East Area Trainer. He is widely known and involved in the community of Berwick and is an Executive Member of the Berwick Chamber of Trade, where he was the former Chairman. Andrew lives in Berwick with his wife and two children.

Commenting on his change in career Andrew said: “I am delighted to be managing ‘Berwick WorkSpace’ and looking forward to welcoming many new businesses through the doors and providing them with support and guidance. This is a wonderful concept and we have already received many enquiries from in and around the Berwick area.”

‘Berwick WorkSpace’, which has 35 individual offices and conference facilities, will be managed by TEDCO, who already manage three other very successful centres in the North East. TEDCO has over 22 years experience in business development and with the building ready to open at the end of April, there is already significant interest in the bespoke WorkSpace incubation centre.
